The Adventure Is Just Below the Surface. Open Water Diver is the entry-level scuba certification — and once you have it, it's valid for life. The cert allows you to dive to 60 feet and to rent gear, fill tanks, and join guided dives at any reputable shop or resort in the world.
The course runs in three connected pieces: 6–8 hours of self-paced SDI eLearning, 10–12 hours of pool training at our Riverton facility, and two days of open-water dives (about 4 hours each) at Bonneville Seabase. Most students complete the program in about four weeks.
Group pricing is $500/person, semi-private (2+ students) is $650/person, and private (1 student) is $800/person. We include the heavy gear (tank, regulator, BC, weights), professional instruction, your SDI eLearning code, and a lifetime certification card. Students bring their own scuba-quality mask, fins, snorkel, and boots — we'll happily check yours if you're unsure. Open Water students also get a 10% in-store discount and 15% off our gear package with a bag purchase.
